These Terms of Service govern access to and use of TangoManager's website, applications, digital tools and related services. By creating an account or otherwise accepting these Terms, users agree to comply with them.
2. Description of Services
TangoManager provides technology and digital tools for the worldwide tango community, including:
- Tango festivals, marathons, encuentros and event listings.
- Local milonga and tango school directories.
- Dancer profiles and personal accounts.
- Organiser profiles and workspaces.
- Event registration and participant management.
- Communication and community tools.
- Additional features introduced by TangoManager.
TangoManager primarily operates as a technology platform connecting independent dancers, organisers and tango-related businesses.
TangoManager is not automatically an event organiser, ticket seller, travel provider or contractual party to events published by independent organisers. All independently organised events remain the responsibility of their respective organisers.
3. Eligibility and Minimum Age
Users must be at least 16 years old to register for a TangoManager account. Users aged 16 or 17 must obtain parental or guardian permission where required by applicable law.
Users are responsible for meeting any legal age requirements applicable to event participation. Individual event organisers may establish additional age restrictions.
TangoManager may restrict or close accounts that do not meet the applicable eligibility requirements. Additional privacy and safety safeguards may apply to users under 18.
4. User Accounts and Security
Users must provide accurate and up-to-date registration information.
Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and promptly notifying TangoManager of suspected unauthorised access.
One account may support both dancer and organiser functionality.
Users must not impersonate another person, create fraudulent accounts or access accounts without authorisation.
TangoManager may suspend or restrict accounts where reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful conduct or serious violations of these Terms.
5. Free Platform Services
TangoManager is provided free of charge to dancers and organisers at launch. No platform subscription fees, registration fees or platform commissions apply under the initial service model.
Independent event organisers may charge participants directly for their own events. Such charges are separate from TangoManager's services.
TangoManager may introduce optional premium features or paid services in the future. Any paid services will be subject to separately disclosed pricing and additional terms. Users will not automatically become paying subscribers without the required authorisation.
6. Event Organiser Responsibilities
Independent organisers are responsible for all aspects of the events and services they offer. These responsibilities include:
- Accuracy of event descriptions, dates, locations and prices.
- Event organisation, management and delivery.
- Participant registration and confirmation.
- Payment collection and financial transactions.
- Refund and cancellation policies.
- Event safety, permits and regulatory compliance.
- Communication with registered participants.
- Participant information and records.
- Applicable taxes, invoices and other legal requirements.
Organisers are responsible for ensuring their event listings are lawful, accurate and not misleading.
TangoManager does not guarantee the quality, safety, availability or successful execution of independently organised events.
Nothing in this section removes TangoManager's responsibilities under applicable law.
7. Payments, Cancellations and Refunds
Under its initial operating model, TangoManager does not collect, process, hold or distribute payments for events. All event payments are arranged directly between dancers and independent organisers.
Organisers are responsible for:
- Establishing payment methods and conditions.
- Collecting participation fees.
- Issuing applicable invoices or receipts.
- Processing cancellations and refunds.
- Resolving financial disputes relating to their events.
TangoManager does not independently determine or guarantee organisers' refund policies. Participants should review the relevant organiser's terms before making payment.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protection or refund rights under applicable law.
8. User Data Responsibility and Disclaimer
8.1 Responsibility for Submitted Information
Each dancer, organiser, tango school and other registered user is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, ownership and appropriate use of all information they submit to TangoManager.
This includes personal information, event details, registration records, photographs, documents, contact details and other uploaded content.
Users must ensure they have the necessary rights, permissions and lawful grounds to collect, upload, store, share or otherwise process information relating to themselves or other individuals.
TangoManager does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness or legality of all information provided by users.
8.2 Organiser Responsibility for Participant Data
Event organisers are responsible for the participant information they independently collect and manage in connection with their events. This may include:
- Participant names and contact information.
- Registration details.
- Event attendance records.
- Participation preferences.
- Information submitted by participants.
- Other event-related information.
Organisers must comply with applicable privacy, data protection, confidentiality, retention and security obligations. Organisers must not collect, upload or disclose information without an appropriate legal basis.
Where organisers determine the purposes and means of processing participant data, they are responsible for fulfilling their applicable obligations as independent data controllers.
8.3 Dancer Responsibility for Personal Information
Dancers are responsible for maintaining accurate personal profiles and submitted information. Dancers must not submit information about third parties without appropriate authority or another lawful basis. Users are encouraged to avoid providing unnecessary sensitive personal information.
8.4 Data Storage, Backups and Recordkeeping
Users are responsible for maintaining independent copies of important personal, professional and business records. TangoManager is not intended to serve as the sole permanent archive for organisers' business records or dancers' personal information.
Although TangoManager takes reasonable measures to maintain platform reliability, uninterrupted availability and absolute protection against data loss cannot be guaranteed.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TangoManager is not responsible for losses caused solely by:
- Incorrect information submitted by users.
- Unauthorised disclosures made by users.
- User errors or accidental deletion.
- Organisers' unlawful handling of participant data.
- Failure by users to retain necessary independent copies of their records.
8.5 TangoManager's Own Data Protection Obligations
TangoManager provides digital infrastructure for storing and managing information. Responsibility for user-submitted content and organisers' independent data-processing activities remains with the relevant users and organisers.
However, TangoManager remains responsible for personal-data processing activities and security obligations imposed on it by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts legal duties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
TangoManager processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. The Privacy Policy explains the categories of information collected, processing purposes, applicable legal grounds, disclosures, retention practices and users' rights.
Organisers and TangoManager may have different data protection roles depending on the relevant processing activity. Where required, appropriate data processing agreements or other legally necessary arrangements will be established.
Users may submit privacy-related requests to contact@tangomanager.com.
10. User Content and Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of original content they lawfully submit.
By uploading or publishing content, users grant TangoManager a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the relevant platform services and listings.
Users confirm that they have the rights and permissions required to submit their content. Users must not upload copyrighted materials, photographs or personal information without appropriate permission or another lawful basis.
TangoManager retains the rights to its original software, branding, trademarks, interface, platform design and proprietary materials. Unauthorised commercial reproduction or exploitation of TangoManager's proprietary materials is prohibited, except where legally permitted.
11. Acceptable Use and Community Conduct
TangoManager aims to provide a respectful and trustworthy environment for the international tango community. Users must not:
- Publish fraudulent or misleading event listings.
- Impersonate another individual or organisation.
- Harass, threaten or abuse other users.
- Publish discriminatory or unlawful content.
- Share private information without appropriate authorisation.
- Attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
- Distribute malware or harmful software.
- Interfere with platform security or functionality.
- Extract platform data through unauthorised automated methods, except where legally permitted.
- Use TangoManager to facilitate scams or other unlawful activities.
TangoManager may investigate reported violations and take proportionate action, including removing content or restricting accounts.
Where required by law, users will be provided with relevant information about moderation decisions and available review procedures.
12. Platform Availability and Technical Services
TangoManager aims to provide a secure, functional and reliable digital service. However, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical failures, external service providers or circumstances outside TangoManager's reasonable control.
Features may be updated, modified or discontinued.
Users are responsible for retaining independent copies of records they need for legal, financial or business purposes.
Nothing in this section excludes mandatory service-related obligations imposed by applicable law.
13. Third-Party Events and External Services
TangoManager may display events, businesses, venues and services operated by independent third parties. The appearance of a listing does not automatically constitute endorsement, certification or a guarantee by TangoManager.
Independent organisers remain responsible for the events and services they provide. Users should review event details, organiser conditions and payment arrangements before committing to participation.
TangoManager is not automatically a party to agreements formed directly between organisers and participants.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TangoManager is not liable for losses arising solely from:
- An independent organiser's failure to fulfil an event contract.
- Inaccurate or misleading information submitted by users, where TangoManager has no legal responsibility for the resulting loss.
- An organiser's independent handling of participant payments.
- An organiser's independently established cancellation or refund policy.
- Unauthorised disclosures or misuse of data by users.
- User errors or failure to retain necessary records.
- Events outside TangoManager's reasonable control.
TangoManager does not guarantee event success, attendance, organiser performance, participant compatibility or uninterrupted platform availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, liability that cannot lawfully be excluded for negligence, mandatory data protection obligations, consumer rights or other non-excludable legal responsibilities.
Any additional financial liability cap must be separately determined and legally reviewed before implementation.
15. Account Closure, Suspension and Termination
Users may request account closure through available platform functionality or by contacting contact@tangomanager.com.
TangoManager may suspend or terminate access in response to serious Terms violations, security threats, fraudulent activity or applicable legal requirements.
Where legally required, users will receive information about restrictions and available review procedures.
Account termination does not automatically remove outstanding obligations owed by organisers to participants.
Personal information will be retained or deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
16. Changes to the Terms of Service
TangoManager may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, legal requirements or operational practices.
Material changes will normally be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect, unless a shorter period is necessary for justified legal, security or operational reasons.
Where renewed acceptance or consent is legally required, it will be obtained.
The current version and effective date will be made available on the platform.
Users who do not agree to updated Terms may discontinue using the service and request account closure.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Subject to mandatory legal protections available to users, these Terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Northern Cyprus.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
Users are encouraged to contact TangoManager first to seek an amicable resolution of complaints.
